Crypto-Related Kidnappers in Belgium Sentenced to 12 Years
Brussels' Criminal Court has sentenced three individuals to 12 years in prison for the abduction of a French crypto investor's wife. The victim, an educator with a YouTube following of 40,000, saw his crypto ventures suffer as a result of the traumatic incident, which forced the family to relocate.
The kidnapping occurred on December 20th, when the victim's wife was taken hostage in front of their home in Forest. Police intercepted the perpetrators NEAR Bruges, recovering the van used in the crime. The court ordered the offenders to pay €1 million ($1.2 million) in damages, though the masterminds remain at large.
A minor involved in the case is being processed separately. Despite the ordeal, the victim remains committed to his audience and crypto endeavors.
